We plan to start an AI club in UHS to help prepare students for AI competitions such as CanAI/IOAI and spark interest in AI among students. This initiative aims to educate our students at UHS more about applications, ethics, and how different AI systems work. Aside from using material created by IOAI canada, we plan on creating in house training and activities surrounding AI). We will be teaching basic concepts such as statistics, loss functions, optimizers, regression ,and classification algorithms. Some activities include interactive labs (made on colab), model competitions, and practice on IOAI/Kaggle problems. Our primary target will be students that are interested in AI as well as veterans of mathematics and computer science.
