Team IOAI Canada Selection Process
Application for Team Canada 2026 is not open.

Selection for Team Canada will adopt the same evaluation process from 2024-2025 and will be based on criteria assessed on a rolling basis throughout 2025 to 2026, which comprises the following:

July 2025 Online AI Challenge

Submitted portfolio, resume and personal statement
-
Past competitions and achievements
-
Canada AI National Competition Series Contests (CAN AI Series Contests)
-
Additional initiatives and/or competitions to be announced throughout September 2025 to May 2026.

Team Canada 2026 Eligibility
Students interested in representing Canada at the IOAI must meet the following criteria:

Be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident, or full-time high school student in Canada.

Be less than 20 years old on the first day of the IOAI competition (August 2025).

Be a high school student for the 2025-2026 academic year.
