Application for Team Canada 2025 is now open.

Two teams of four students will be selected based on the strength of their application materials and demonstrated engagement with IOAI Canada. Selected team members will also receive additional IOAI training in preparation for the competition.

ROUND 1: PORTFOLIO APPLICATION

LAST DAY TO APPLY: Monday, June 23rd, 2025 @ 12 PM EDT, 9 PM PDT

To apply, please email your portfolio (in any format with the naming convention of "Full Name_Portfolio_Team Canada 2025 Application") that includes the following:

• Basic Information: Your full name, grade in the 2024-2025 year and school

• Technical Skills & Proficiency: Any languages, libraries, tools, data manipulation & visualization, etc. that you know and have worked with

• Past Competitions & Achievements: Any math competitions, science fairs and competitions, coding competitions, robotics competitions, hackathons, CAN AI 2025, artificial intelligence competition, etc., that you have participated in and the results

• Personal/Passion Projects (including any AI projects): Any independent or collaborative projects you’ve undertaken or are currently working on

• Internship/Volunteer Experience: Any relevant roles you’ve held that contribute to your development

• Research: Any involvement in research (school-based or independent), especially in AI or data science

• Academic Certificates: Any certificate of completion for AI-related or relevant courses (school-based or online platform)

• Collaboration/Teamwork/Problem Solving Showcase: Any experience where you demonstrated any soft skills, highlighting your role and how you contributed technically and strategically or how you tackled open-ended problems or challenges

• Personal Statement: A brief explanation of why you believe you should be selected for Team Canada

• Additional Supporting Material: Anything else you feel can strengthen your application

ROUND 2: ONLINE CHALLENGE

Applicants who pass Round 1 will be notified and sent instructions and a link to complete the Online Challenge that will open on Saturday, July 12, 2025.
